We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Contemporary Living Showroom at the Chelsea Gardener, London. We invite you to join us for the opening event taking place on 25th & 26th April 2017, 4pm – 8pm where you can enjoy refreshments and meet our expert design team. You can RSVP to the event by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
With its clean lines and generous expanses of glass, this stylish modern garden room has been designed and built to the exacting standards associated with the whole range of David Salisbury glazed buildings.
A house extension or freestanding building of this type, would suit both country and urban environments. The balance of glass and solid insulated walling and roof areas make it a very versatile space, working well as a living room, kitchen or home office . Its large motorised skylights bring light and ventilation to enhance the versatility of the environment.
As with the Orangery, Grants are providing the blinds for both the skylights and the side walling. These will be motorised and discreetly housed and show how we have worked together to further improve the quality of the living space.
At the Chelsea Gardener, we are now bringing together examples of our design mastery, from the traditional as seen in our stunning orangery to the modern, demonstrated by this exciting new garden room.
David Salisbury are delighted to announce that we now have 10 product models live on the NBS National BIM Library. For those not familiar with BIM, it is an acronym for Building Information Modelling and brings together all of the information about every component of a building, in one place.
NBS describe BIM in the following way: "BIM describes the means by which everyone can understand a building through the use of a digital model which draws on a range of data assembled collaboratively, before during and after construction. Creating a digital Building Information Model enables those who interact with the building to optimize their actions, resulting in a greater whole life value for the asset."
For further information please visit the NBS National BIM Library website.
The NBS National BIM Library is the industry source for generic and proprietary BIM content. The files are created in platform-neutral IFC format as well as the industry's leading 3D CAD formats: Autodesk Revit, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks and Bentley.
BIM objects contain information such as product properties (U-values, thermal performance, material etc), maximum and minimum size restrictions, functioning data, visual models representing product appearance and much more. These high-quality BIM models are an essential resource to any Architect, Specifier and Construction Industry Professional.

Following an extensive period of research, early 2016 saw us change our standard timber offering to Engineered Siberian Larch. The properties of Siberian Larch gave us the superior performance and high levels of quality needed for our joinery products whilst also being sourced exclusively from responsibly managed forests.
Our latest update comes from the introduction of Sapele as our hardwood timber offering. Sourced from responsibly managed forests in Western Africa, Sapele is renowned throughout the joinery industry for its hardness and durability, as well as the good wood grain characteristics.
For further information on our timber and its properties please visit the Timber Specification page in our Technical section.
